Otterly, AthenaHQ and Peec AI vs. WebsiteGlue for local AI
Otterly.AI, AthenaHQ, Peec AI and BrightLocal track AI answers. WebsiteGlue scores why local businesses get named and what to fix first. Costs compared.

AI visibility tools ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI features a set of questions you choose, then report how often your brand comes up. Otterly.AI, AthenaHQ, Peec AI and Profound built their products around that idea. A national brand gets a daily record of where it stands in AI answers.
A local retailer has a different problem. When someone asks an AI tool for the best bike shop near them, the answer draws on Google Business Profiles, business websites and the other shops in town. WebsiteGlue scores those inputs for you and the 10 businesses Google shows for your service, then ranks what to fix. It costs $19 a month. For one location tracking 10 prompts, the trackers in the cost comparison below run $29 to $295 a month.
Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help docs, checked November 3, 2026.
Why is WebsiteGlue best for local SEO and local AI results?
Local AI answers lean on two sources you control. In BrightLocal's Local AI Visibility Study, business websites made up 42% of the 1.9 million citations that ChatGPT, AI Mode and AI Overviews gave for local searches. Google Business Profiles made up 28.5%. WebsiteGlue scores both.
It scores the inputs for you and your competitors
Your AI ready score runs from 0 to 100 across five parts: local presence from your Google profile (40 points), answers to customer questions (25), facts AI can check (15), readability for AI crawlers (10) and a clear, current site (10). WebsiteGlue scores the 10 businesses Google shows for your service the same way, so you can see what the shop that gets named does and you don't.
It tells you what to fix first
Paid plans rank fixes by the points they add. They also ask Perplexity who to hire for your service in your city and show whether it named you, and who it named instead.
It tracks progress at a small-business price
Each scan of your site is saved with its date. Your second scan starts the progress charts, and paid plans can rescan once a month on their own. AI Insights costs $19 a month for 5 scans, and Pro costs $39 for 30.
What the AI visibility trackers measure
Otterly.AI starts at $29 a month for 15 prompts on Lite, $189 for 100 on Standard and $489 for 400 on Premium. It tracks Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot daily. Google AI Mode and Gemini cost extra, $9 a month each on Lite. Every plan includes a GEO audit of your pages, 1,000 URL audits a month on Lite (Otterly help center).
AthenaHQ has a free plan with 300 credits and a Starter plan at $295 a month with 3,600 credits. One credit buys one AI answer. Starter covers 11 models and includes content recommendations and on-page and off-page actions.
Peec AI starts at $95 a month for 50 prompts, tracked daily on 3 engines you pick. Its pricing page lists "Local GEO" on every plan without saying what it covers.
Profound offers a free trial of 50 prompts for 7 days. Its other plans have no listed price.
None of these four pricing pages mentions Google Business Profiles.
The local trackers: BrightLocal and Local Falcon
Two local SEO tools now track AI answers by location, and they're the closest alternatives to WebsiteGlue.
BrightLocal includes a Local AI Visibility Tracker in its Track, Manage and Grow plans. It checks Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT for up to 20 prompts per location, gives each location a score from 0 to 100, compares you with competitors and suggests action items ranked by impact. Track costs $41 a month for one location, or $31 a month billed annually (BrightLocal pricing).
Local Falcon runs its map-grid scans on Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, AI Mode, Gemini and Grok, so you can see where in town an AI tool names you. Plans start at $24.99 a month for 7,500 credits, and each credit is one point on the map (Local Falcon pricing guide). That guide doesn't say how many credits an AI scan uses.
Both tools measure where you show up. WebsiteGlue scores the reasons behind it: your profile and site against the 10 businesses Google ranks for your service.
What a daily tracker can't tell you
AI answers move around. When BrightLocal's researchers ran the same local search again, the AI answers overlapped by 20% to 33%. A tracker that checks every day records that churn, and it can show a slow climb over weeks.
A tracker won't show that your site has no business schema, that your newest review is 10 months old, or that the shop down the street answers six customer questions on its homepage while you answer one. Those are the things you can change this week, and a WebsiteGlue scan reads them for every business in your market.

AI prompts per location
A prompt is one question you track, like “best tire shop in Richmond VA.”
How the plans are picked
Total prompts are locations times prompts per location. Otterly and Peec move up a plan when you pass their prompt limit. AthenaHQ assumes each prompt is checked daily on 5 engines, one credit per answer. BrightLocal prices by location count. WebsiteGlue runs one scan per location each month.
For 1 location and 10 prompts each, WebsiteGlue costs $19 a month. The cheapest AI answer tracker here is Otterly.AI, at $29.

Prices checked November 3, 2026 from each vendor's pricing page, monthly billing unless noted, before tax. Profound and Local Falcon are left out because they don't publish a comparable monthly price. Sources: WebsiteGlue, Otterly.AI, BrightLocal, Peec AI, AthenaHQ.
At one location and 10 prompts, WebsiteGlue costs $19 a month, Otterly $29, BrightLocal $41, Peec $95 and AthenaHQ $295. At three locations, WebsiteGlue still costs $19, BrightLocal $62, Peec $95 and Otterly $189, because 30 prompts pass the Lite plan's 15. AthenaHQ would need 4,500 credits a month for daily checks on 5 engines, more than Starter's 3,600, so it moves to a quote.
When a tracker is the better pick
Choose Otterly.AI, Peec AI, AthenaHQ or Profound if you report AI share of voice to a brand team, track many engines every day, or sell across the country. Choose BrightLocal or Local Falcon if you want an ongoing or map-based record of local AI answers for each location.
The two kinds of tool also work together. Run a WebsiteGlue scan each month to find and rank the fixes, then watch a tracker to see the answers shift. WebsiteGlue's $19 plus BrightLocal's $41 comes to $60 a month for one location, less than Peec's $95 Starter plan by itself.

Why is WebsiteGlue best for local SEO and local AI results?
Local AI answers draw on Google Business Profiles and business websites. WebsiteGlue scores both for you and the 10 businesses Google shows for your service, gives each an AI ready score out of 100, and ranks the fixes by the points they add. AI Insights costs $19 a month.
What is the difference between AI visibility tracking and AI readiness?
A tracker asks AI tools the questions you choose and records whether they name you. A readiness score looks at what those tools read about you, such as your Google profile, schema, question headings and crawler access, and shows what to change. WebsiteGlue scores readiness and adds one live Perplexity check per scan on paid plans.
